Kristine Gosden (Director/Physiotherapist)
Kristine is an experienced and genuinely caring physiotherapist who has worked part-time or full-time within the area of Women’s Health since completing her Bachelor Degree at the University of Queensland in 2002. She is passionate about all things related to Women’s and Pelvic Health and is a keen advocate of education and wellness strategies.
While Kristine’s core focus lies within your Pelvic Health, she is a holistic practitioner who is keen to support your general health and wellbeing. Her areas of experience include:
Bladder or bowel dysfunction including leakage, urgency and incomplete emptying
Prolapse including Pessary prescription and management
Persistent Pelvic Pain and/or Menstrual Pain
Sexual health concerns
Pregnancy Care and Birth Preparation
Postnatal Recovery
Breast Care for blocked milk ducts or mastitis
Pre and Post Surgical Support
Guided Return to Exercise after birth, injury or prolonged absence from activity
Menopause, Osteoporosis and other chronic health conditions
Kristine is a mother of two energetic boys and has always loved leading an active life with a strong connection to nature. She acknowledges that this is more of a juggle since parenthood, but uses her own life experiences to relate to the complexities of working with women who have family to care for. Kristine enjoys helping women of all ages to optimise their health and loves seeing the positive changes she is able to make in their day to day lives.
Sarah Carmichael (Physiotherapist)
Sarah is an experienced physiotherapist who is incredibly passionate about the treatment of women throughout their lives. Since graduating in 2017, she has worked primarily in musculoskeletal and women’s health physiotherapy. Sarah has completed postgraduate study in pelvic health physiotherapy, Pilates Training, and Lymphoedema management. Sarah believes that her clinical knowledge and compassionate nature go hand in hand in helping her deliver exceptional patient care.
Her areas of experience include:
Urinary and faecal incontinence
Lymphoedema management (upper and lower limb): early detection/prevention, manual lymphatic drainage, prescription of appropriate compression garments
Physiotherapy during cancer treatment, monitoring for lymphoedema
Musculoskeletal dysfunction
Return to sport following birth, surgery or injury
Bowel dysfunction and constipation
Pregnancy related musculoskeletal pain
Pelvic organ prolapse management (including the prescription and ongoing management of pessaries)
Sarah enjoys treating all women’s health conditions – be it musculoskeletal or pelvic floor dysfunction, Lymphoedema or anything in between. She extends this passion for holistic health and movement in her own life. On weekends, you can usually find her running, cycling or hiking – always followed by coffee and a good book!
